Communication Theory & Skills Profile Summary Paper Introduction and Alignment This assignment will provide an opportunity to apply and communicate interpersonal communication theory to real situations and contexts. It will also include a personal assessment of communication skills and steps for improving your interpersonal communication. Upon completion of this assignment, you should be able to: Apply interpersonal communication theory to real situations and contexts. Assess personal communication skills and identify steps for improvement. Instructions Reflect over the last four modules of readings, assignments, and podcasts. The Summary Paper should demonstrate that you can apply the materials presented in the course by using real-life examples from your personal and professional experiences. Develop a thorough discussion and application of communication concepts and skills in a 6-8 page, double-spaced essay. Use the following outline to format the paper (label each area in the paper). Include statements indicating the topics to be discussed, the forecasting structure, and the content of the paper. PRESENTATION OF CONCEPTS: Select three (3) of the topics from the list below. Describe any changes you have discovered you need to make in your communication, as a result of taking the course. Identify one significant relationship in your personal life that has or will be impacted as a result of new understanding in interpersonal communication. How will it positively or negatively be impacted? Identify one significant relationship in your professional life that has or will be impacted as a result of a new understanding of interpersonal communication. How will it positively or negatively be impacted? What specific ideas for self-improvement have you identified in terms of your communication skills. Identify specific behaviors that you plan to modify and how you intend to change them in order to enhance your relationships. CONCLUSION: In a brief paragraph, provide the reader with closure by restating the general purpose of the paper and summarizing the key issues discussed. apply the required APA formatting style.
