Section 7.7 is the breakeven analysis. Suppose you want to start a business, to get a loan you must provide a breakeven analysis. The example given in the exercise has a total fixed cost of $164,000 and a total variable cost of $6.15. If you charge $35 for each service and work 5 days a week, seven hours a day, fifty weeks a year, (you cannot work more than stated) how many services do you need to provide a day? Is this realistic given each service takes one hour? How much would you charge for each service to start this business? Discuss what could you do to make your business more profitable?
