Your Tautology Example Circular Logic/Tautological Statements are assertions that cannot be proven false because of the way they are worded. Review or re-read chapter one from Akers & Sellers that I assigned at the beginning of the semester to help jog your memory. Let's have some fun here. Show me that you understand what a tautological statement is by creating your own flawed, un-testable assertion. Do NOT use exact or similar examples from the book or the Internet. Make up your own, and MAKE SURE THAT THE SUBJECT MATTER IS RELATED TO CRIMINAL JUSTICE, CRIMINOLOGY, OR THE LIKE. It can be as silly or as fun as you can make it while still meeting the requirements of this assignment. FYI no cover page needed

  • Statement: Juveniles commit crimes because they have no impulse control. Juveniles inherently have cognitive delays, meaning they can not control their actions. When individuals are young, they are experiencing high hormones that can contribute to high impulse control and lack of future thinking which makes them predisposed to acting before thinking. Explanation: Juveniles can not be held liable for their actions due to a lack of forethought, and impulse control. These children are predisposed to making rash, impulsive decisions because of the hormone and bodily changes they are going through. (Example of what it's supposed to be like)
