Deliverables The essay for this lesson is required to be a minimum of 750 words that clearly demonstrate your understanding of the activity. Essays should have a clear introduction, thesis statement and conclusion, written in APA format (APAstyle.org). A minimum of three sources, at least two from the lesson, must be cited in-text and in the Reference list. Step 1: Read and research. Research the Cline Library, the Internet and review the lesson readings to apply what you have learned about this lesson’s objective. Complete the following: Research different examples of performance metrics. Research how these metrics are used in existing companies. Determine how these metrics are informing companies about whether or not employees’ performance levels are meeting expectations and aligning with the company’s strategic goals. Include specific examples of companies using these metrics. Step 2: Write a paper. Please review the essay rubric prior to proceeding. Write an essay that incorporates your research. As you prepare your paper, consider the following: Review Reading 1.1, which describes the advantages and disadvantages of eight different methods of performance appraisal. Review Reading 2.1, which describes types of HR metrics. Select five or six different HR metrics that you have learned about in the readings and describe the metrics and their pros and cons.
