InstructionInstructions The purpose of this learning activity is to foster the development of a collaborative working relationship within peer teams to demonstrate leadership, communication, and team-building skills, as well as critical thinking skills, in the development of a patient-centered plan of care for a complex patient situation. Teams will work to develop a plausible, complex reverse case study and present it to all class members by Voice-over PowerPoint presentation (VOPP). Each team will be provided a brief description of the patient’s chief complaint and their home medications. From that information, each team will develop a case to include past medical history, assessment data, medical/collaborative orders, significant pathophysiological process, identification of priority nursing diagnosis, nursing/collaborative interventions, identification of clinical practice guidelines or standards to support the plan of care, and a potential legal/ethical dilemma.
