Doctoral persistence relates to a student’s continued progression toward completing a doctoral degree. Researchers studying this topic have found that approximately half of all students who begin a doctoral program, fail to complete their terminal degree. As doctoral business students, this topic should be of interest to you, as each of you has the desire to complete your degree. During this course you will learn how to draw from multiple sources to research and analyze qualitative data. For this first discussion, consider any experience or knowledge you have with respect to doctoral persistence. As this is a journal assignment, there is no need to draw from other sources or cite.
