Different types of violence have been explored in the class readings this semester: racial, sexual, colonial, and patriarchal. Choose ONE type of violence (as you see it being most prominent in any of the readings assigned) and research an organization/agency/advocay group based in the US whose mission is to bring awareness about and to advocate against that type of violence. Submit a three-page report describing the organization's (1) History, (2) Mission and Goals, (3) Methods, and (4) some of its Past and Current Activities/Campaigns (here you may want to focus on a particular campaign that the organization launched and describe its effectiveness and impact). On the last page of your report, provide a personal reflection on the connection between the research you have done and some of the readings covered in class.

Three pages, double spaced, Times 12-point font. Include your name, course code and section, professor’s name, and the date submitted in the upper left corner of the first page. Indent paragraphs (no extra space between paragraphs), use one-inch margins (on all sides) and number all pages. Do not overquote; summarise or parpahrase instead. Limit your quotations to TWO (fewer than four lines each). Follow proper MLA guidelines for in-text citations (Links to an external site.) to acknowledeg your sources. Copying language from the internet without proper acknowledgment constitutes plagiarism and results in an “F” grade on the assignment. When you copy language (phrases, sentences, or paragraphs) from the webiste, you must put that language in "quotation marks;' failure to do so is considered plagiarism.
