InstructionInstructions: In this lab you will watch videos of dissections of two vertebrate animals (dogfish shark and frog) and two invertebrate animals (earthworm and crayfish). As you watch the dissections, pay attention to the adaptations each animal has for locomotion, sensing the environment, feeding and digestion, and gas exchange and transport (circulation and respiration). Also note what structural support (e.g. cartilaginous skeleton, exoskeleton, etc.) each animal has and what kind of reproductive strategy each animal uses. Note that two animals are aquatic (shark and crayfish), while the earthworm is terrestrial and the frog is amphibious. Think about each animal's unique adaptations to its environment and lifestyle. Also think about how the vertebrates and the invertebrates differ in complexity, yet how they have all evolved to survive and thrive in their habitat. After or while watching the dissections, fill in the table in this document with the DIFFERENCES between the four animals for the categories listed. Then answer the additional questions that follow (also in the document). Submit a pdf of your assignment here. The list below contains the links to the dissection videos.
