InstructionAs this chapter discussed, messages are more effective when they draw from multiple forms of persuasive appeals (ethos, logos, pathos) and avoid fallacies. For this discussion, watch the following John Oliver video on mental illness: https://youtu.be/NGY6DqB1HX8 Whether you agree with Oliver or not, there is no doubt his comedic bit was intended to be persuasive. In your post, provide one example of each of the three persuasive appeals. Display quotes and/or screen shots of Oliver’s bit for each (screen shots work if you have closed captioning turned on). In addition, consider the reasoning used. Did you find any fallacies (errors in reasoning)? If so, include the quote/example (again a screen shot is acceptable if you have closed captioning turned on). If you didn’t find any fallacies, write an example of a potential fallacy that could have been used in this video clip. (For example, what would a bandwagon fallacy to support his argument entail?) Next, explain how you think your examples illustrate each of the three persuasive appeals and a fallacy.
