InstructionThe paper assignment, which is due Monday, March 29th, requires you to select three cases from different units of The Man Who Mistook his Wife for a Hat, by Oliver Sacks. Find a common theme or idea that runs through all three cases and write an essay of approximately two and a half pages on each case. Remember that the three cases you select must each come from a different unit of the book (e.g., “Excesses” “Transports,” “The World of the Simple.”) No two cases can come from the same part. In addition, you are to write a one-page introduction that highlights the theme uniting the three cases you have chosen, and a one-page conclusion that discusses the insights that you believe follow from your analyses. You are strongly encouraged to select those cases you have already written about in your discussion board submissions, but don’t just cut and paste what you previously posted. Expand and develop your analyses. Be sure to incorporate the comments and corrections that I emailed to you when I sent back my critiques, as well as the comments and suggestions that were offered by your classmates. The entire paper is to be 8-10 pages in length, double-spaced with one-inch margins and 12-point font. The only sources that you will need for this assignment are Sacks’ book; material posted in Links, Video and Reflections; earlier conversations on our discussion boards; and the study questions that were posted for each chapter. No research is required for this paper, but it is permitted. If you do consult outside sources, be sure to document them properly. You may use either APA or MLA formatting. Be sure as well to provide proper citations for the material you use from Sacks’ book, including a works cited page. All papers are due no later than 5 p.m. on Monday, March 29th .
