InstructionAnnotated Bibliography Assignment To build your knowledge of African American historiography, you are required to write an annotated bibliography that identifies and briefly describes primary and secondary sources on a subject that you select in consultation with the instructor. The bibliography must include at least twenty-five primary sources (archival materials, photographs, contemporary newspaper articles, oral history interviews, autobiographies, memoirs, letters, government documents, etc.) and twenty-five secondary sources (books, book chapters, and scholarly articles). The description of the primary or secondary source must be in your own words. For guidelines on how to write bibliographic entries, I recommend the following website: https://owl.purdue.edu/owl/research_and_citation/chicago_manual_17th_edition/cmos_formatting_and_style_guide/chicago_manual_of_style_17th_edition.html.
