Critical-Argumentative Essay Assignment Please rewrite your Argumentative Essay as a more focused, structured essay by following the Academic Essay Template and applying the Essential Elements. The writing should be in your own words, style, and voice, including when using ideas from outside sources, whether directly quoted or paraphrased. Please be sure to give proper reference and attribution to any sources or quotations used. You are expected follow some of the writing strategies and techniques that we have studied in this class to help you construct a strong, logical argument. Remember: follow the MLA format for documentation, including quotations, with a Works Cited. This essay should be approximately three to five pages of double spaced, standard font, (500-700 words). Please just do your best with the word count, try to reach 500 (standard). The body paragraphs should be between 6-10 sentences long. You are required to complete a minimum of three drafts in all: the rough draft, the revising/editing draft, and a proofread final copy (the final copy should be checked for oversights, typos, and other surface errors). Please save these Writing Process Drafts for your own records and reflection. Your Final Copy should have a relatively polished, complete presentation; a messy final copy will not be accepted (you will be asked to revise it). Please submit only the final copy on a single, Word document. Please follow standards and conventions for Academic English essays: Introduction with a stated Thesis+ 3 Reasons, a series of well-supported Body Paragraphs that open with Topic Sentences, and a Conclusion that rephrases your Thesis, restates your Reasons, and that transitions to the end of your essay with some general closing remarks and a Call to Action.
