Summarize the case in 100 words regarding the pateints presentation, signs and symptoms, and treatment. Then Answer the following questions: (Use your text, wed articles, and other resources to answer, MUST CITE THEM) Step 2: 1. What are the main concerns from a ventilatory/oxygenation standpoint? 2. What strategies may be unique to ventialting this type of patient, what are the goals? 3. What equipment would you need for this patient as they arrived to your unit? (Be specific IE: Intubation - Mac 3-4, Suction Canister/tubing/ridged suction, BVM with Colormetric CO2 Detector...) 4. If this pateint were to code, what do you think the primary cause would be? (Choose one and explain) Ventilatory Failure, Oxygenation Failure, Combined O+V Failure, Other. Step 3: Find the Primary Problem/Disease presented in the case and go to your Diseases text book, summarize the section/chapter in the book that highlights the presented disease.
