InstructionIn this unit, you learned about U.S. foreign policy and how it has evolved over time. For this project, you will show what you have learned about this evolution. At President Barack Obama's second inaugural address, he said: "America will remain the anchor of strong alliances in every corner of the globe from Asia to the Middle East." In 1823, President James Monroe introduced the Monroe Doctrine, which heavily influenced U.S. foreign policy going forward as a nation. In an essay of at least 600 words, explain what President Obama meant in his statement, and how it is a change from U.S. foreign policy as guided by the Monroe Doctrine. Your essay should explain what the Monroe Doctrine is, how it influenced U.S. foreign policy at the time, and how this has evolved over time to the current state of our foreign policy. Please write your essay in MLA format, and follow the standard 5-paragraph model. Your essay should have an introduction paragraph, three body paragraphs, and a conclusion paragraph.
