InstructionAssignment 2: WRITING WITH THE APA PUBLICATION MANUAL OBJECTIVES Understand style and format for APA manuscript writing Become familiar with style and format for references, tables and figures REVIEW The APA Publication Manual provides style and format information to be used when writing a paper in psychology and most other social sciences. In fact, submitting a paper to any psychology journal requires APA style. The style sets the rules for content and organization, references, and tables and figures that are used in the research manuscript. APA publication style is unique and requires the author of an article to conform to a very specific format. Both the manual and the sample document on eCourses provide examples that are an excellent place to start when you have questions as to the style. If you do not have one yet, it is highly recommended that you purchase the latest edition of an APA publication manual. For the purposes of this course, you are expected to use APA formatting for professional publications. ASSIGNMENT: Edit the attached Word document and fixed all APA formatting errors found within the document. These errors may include (but are not limited to): headers, indenting, bold/underline/italics, citations, references, and spacing. There is NO editing necessary to the content of the document; in other words, you should not be editing grammar, spelling, or evaluating the arguments within the paper. MAKE SURE TO KEEP TRACK CHANGES ON, OR ELSE ANY CHANGES YOU MAKE WILL NOT BE NOTICED AND WILL NOT COUNT.
