InstructionDescribe the character of your focus for the paper in a 1-2 paragraph vignette format. Your vignette should describe the character using a biopsychosocial perspective. Then choose at least three points of focus to formulate your paper (see below): Examine and describe your characters human potential that is in jeopardy. What are the root causes that you knowingly can assess through case study of movie. Remember to use a sociological lens to assess micro, meso, and macro person in environment. Where do you assess the character to be stuck: thinking patterns, unhealthy coping strategies, behaviors which are detrimental to mental and/or physical health. What additional struggles do you wonder about and want to assess further with this individual? Identify 5-10 open-ended questions (can use list form) that you would ask to assess this character further. Viewing this character from a strength-based perspective, what strengths does this character have to draw on. Give examples to back your theories, and cite references to define sociological concepts. Explore and describe how the current or past human struggle is affecting the characters current physical, social, and emotional development. Is there evidence of resiliency, lifestyle adjustments, and newly formed coping strategies. Describe and explain your answers. Describe how socioeconomic and cultural advantages or disadvantages helped and/or hindered the character in their human development. Describe both immediate and long-term effects on the character(s). Using your sociological imagination, describe your role with this “client”. Imagine you were in a helping profession (medical, social work, psychologist, police, fireman, teacher, nurse, EMT, ect) describe some examples of how you might work with this person as a client in efforts to support their optimal growth potential. What assessment questions might you ask to gain new insights for treatment with this client. What referrals might you offer or recommend to this client.
