FIRST PAGE: write a short paper about some aspect of distance learning among U.S. college students. article.  You can focus on any aspect of distance learning (alternatively referred to as online learning, computer-assisted learning, remote learning, etc.).  One topic you might consider are the attitudes and practices of U.S. college students towards distance learning.  Another topic might be how online learning compares with face-to-face learning.  NEXT PAGE: read the article in its entirety carefully.  Then in a Word Document write a few paragraphs about the content of the article.  These paragraphs should summarize in YOUR OWN WORDS what the article is about.  Don't just regurgitate what is in the abstract of the article.  Your summary should display an intimate awareness of the content of the article.  Then you should write a few paragraphs about your own thoughts regarding the article.  Here you can express you own viewpoints.  You can discuss your personal thoughts about the article's findings, methodology, or conclusion, etc.  If you want, you can extrapolate from your own personal experiences. Altogether, the Word Document should be 2 pages in length.  You will submit your papers along with an attachment which includes the article (or, if not feasible, the link to the article).
