  • The one you did was this, Isadora Duncan's dances and costume involved bare feet and loose clothing. Other cultures were already dancing in this way. Why do you think their dances were often cast as primitive where as Duncan's was seen as innovative? Do you think it was because of a lack of knowledge about world dance from commentators at the time? Do you feel Duncan's use of Greek depictions of dance was appropriation of Greek culture?
