Project Summary: Paper. You will write a paper, 5 page minimum, due October 8. You will discuss the creative destruction process unleashed by the innovation of your choosing. You should include a description of the innovation, the product/products it displaced, a market analysis of the product/products displaced (before, during, and after the innovation), and a discussion of how all relevant stakeholders were affected by the process (e.g. displaced company, current company, customers, society, etc). If the innovation you chose has been creatively destroyed itself, the why and the how should be discussed as well. Papers will be graded based on a) writing quality, b) cogency of analysis, c) completeness and depth of analysis, and d) your ability to tell the story of innovation as a Schumpeterian Creative Destruction Process.
