Project Summary: CASE BRIEF Case briefs are documents students prepare as a study aid to understand the legal facts and rulings of a past case conducted through an appellate or trial court. These briefs organize and extract the main elements of a judicial opinion and summarize a court decision by outlining the facts of the case, the legal issues raised, and the rationale for the court's decision.
