Project Summary: Commentary Assignment: Students will be required to read newspaper and/or magazine articles dealing with controversial/ethical issues and provide a brief commentary. This is an individual assignment. Each commentary is to be submitted along with a copy of the article. Assignment to be submitted via Assignment Dropbox in Blackboard. Grading criteria for assignment: The length of the commentary will be a maximum of 3 pages, typed, Arial 12 font, double spaced. Each student will be expected to select a topic relevant to the issues presented in PAD 4046 and select the article based on a current ethical issue in the public sector. Commentary should present a comprehensive overview of the issue, analysis, and problem resolution. Student needs to demonstrate the ability of applying ethical principles and ethical theories and how they can be a powerful means of clarifying and resolving complex ethical dilemmas. No make-up or extensions will be given for this assignment. You must have flawless grammar and spelling. No credit will be given to assignments/discussions with multiple grammatical/mechanical errors. Commentary will be worth 10 points; 10% of the final grade.
