Project Summary: To ensure that students are up to date with current political events and developments of world politics, each week students will have to select and read an article from a major daily newspaper (e.g., The New York Times, Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal) and write a brief summary. Besides newspaper articles, students may also explore media outlets, such as NPR, The Associated Press, Reuters, or think tank institutions, such as Council on Foreign Relations, The Heritage Foundation, or official websites of international organizations, such as Human Rights Watch. All of these sources have an online platform that offers policy analyses and reports from journalists, scholars, and experts in various issue areas. The article will have to cover topics of international affairs, or American foreign policy. Each summary should meet the following criteria to ensure full credit.
