Project Summary: Personality This week, we covered personality, the different approaches to explaining and assessing personality. • Choose one of these approaches (psychodynamic, trait, learning, biological and evolutionary, and humanistic). • Review Cattell’s 16 source traits, Eysenck’s three dimensions, and the “Big Five” factors. • Give one example of how a behavior you exhibit matches each of the traits Big Five factors. (Openness to experience, Conscientiousness, Extraversion, Agreeableness, Neuroticism) • For example, if you are high in extraversion, what is an example of how you are talkative? If you are lower in extroversion, share how you tend to be quieter in conversations. • How can your traits help you in college classes? • How can knowing your personality traits help you in your career?
