Project Summary: Answer the following questions: Identify a minimum of 3 raw materials that this company/product uses. If the company is a distribution organization or 3PL, the raw materials could be finished goods from another company. Are the raw materials sourced locally, nationally or internationally? What risks could occur in the procurement process? Be specific and think carefully about all aspects that could be affected. Who distributes the finished product? Discuss modes as well as any special considerations that might be required. Considering all of the moving parts, what types of communication should be used within the supply chain? How important is this communication? Why is sourcing and maintaining supplier relationships important?
