Project Summary: Essay guidelines: Campus market This weeks readings provide with two perspectives on the corporate-student consumers relationships. For the essay assignment, youre asked to write a report on campus market. Structure 1. Describe the corporate presence on campus (e.g. who is affected and its magnitude). Explain the nature of campus market. For your report, include visuals of at least one merchandise/brand of product that are advertised on campus in the dining hall (e.g. Coca-Cola in the vending machine), in the student union (e.g., brands of sanitary utilities), in the bookstore (e.g. brand t-shirt with university logos), in the classroom (e.g., brands of computers and printing machines) or at your dormitory (e.g. brands of the washing machines, cable or internet services). 2. Discuss your or your friends experiences with any of them. Were these experiences positive or negative? If youre not satisfied with the merchandises or services available on campus, what alternative resources do you have? 3. Identify any potential tensions between corporations and consumers of campus market: how this tension affects the relationships? State your perspectives. For example, what do you think are problematic? Could there be any advantageous corporate-academic partnerships? Format Your paper should be at least THREE pages long.
