Project Summary: 1. Aaron is a Alabama State student living in the dorms that are on the grounds of that University. He had one marijuana plant growing in his dorm room. California state law does not have a law against that – it is, in fact, expressly permitted. The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), a federal agency, instituted a policy to stop drug use among young adults. DEA agents arrested cadets at Travis Air Force base (on that (federal) property) for having Marijuana. One of them was friends with Aaron, so DEA agents got Aaron’s information out of the cadet’s cell phone and went to Alabama State. Aaron opened his door to their loud knocks, and the agents could see Aaron’s pot plant in plain view. They arrested him on the spot. The case went to federal court. Aaron’s lawyer filed a motion to dismiss the case. Will the judge deny the motion and let the case continue, or grant the motion and dismiss the case? Why?
