Project Summary: Policy Project Part 1: Project Outline Current crime control practices resulted in part from research on past practices. Current research will in turn affect future practices. Your Policy Project allows you to impact future shifts in criminal justice policy or processes. For Part 1, review the Learning Resources and complete the first part of your Policy Project, for which you identify a current need related to a crime problem or process related to policy and identify the objective of your policy recommendation. You also highlight three alternatives for approaching the problem or process using a minimum of five scholarly resources. You outline the potential outcomes of your policy recommendation including the manifest outcomes (intended effects) and latent outcomes (unintended side effects). You also describe a potential means of evaluating your recommended policy.
