Project Summary: QUESTION: The GM Debate: What’s in Your Food? PROMPT: Genetically-modified foods: Do you avoid them at the supermarket? Have you eaten any today? Most people in the United States have eaten GM foods, with or without their knowledge. Read the section of your textbook on GM foods and the World Health Organization article in the Documents and Resources folder for Week Five, search the internet, and gather information about the benefits and hazards, the pros and the cons of growing and consuming genetically-modified food products. Then, take a stand: Should GM foods be grown and consumed in the U.S. and/or abroad? Defend your stance with at least one outside reference (and provide a link to your reference within your post). This reference can be a video, an article, a blog...anything that is appropriate for a class discussion that provides value to your colleagues.
