Project Summary: focus on United Nations peacekeeping operations, as well as the controversies that have attended such missions. Living in a world where globalization is inevitable and an undeniable part of our lives, it is important for us to understand the role of the United Nations in international peacekeeping. Given the nature of international events and the fact that the US recently withdrew some of its funding for the United Nations , it is especially important to understand the roles of international organizations such as United Nations. My area of study will be focused on the key shareholders of the United Nations and the power dynamics within the organization. I would also like to compare United Nations’ current vision, mission and values with its original vision, mission and values, as I believe that they have been modified throughout the years.
