Project Summary: Each student is required to submit three (3) Comments onCurrent Events (2 or 3 pages double-spaced). The material you select may be an online, newspaper or magazine article. It should contain an argument. A mere report of a current event without an argument by the author is not acceptable. So avoid mere reports. Choose a comment, column, or editorial that tries to make an argument.Your Comment must identify the argument, not just what it reports, and then analyze and critique it. Your comment should not be just a brief summary of what was talked about, but also a comment from the sociological perspective on the author’s argument or position.
