Project Summary: Family relationships take on different roles during various life stages. For example, adolescents often begin to pull away from their parents in an attempt to gain their independence; however, during their young adult years find themselves going back to their parents for advice on life decisions such as buying an automobile or a home, career advancement, or perhaps advice on relationships. Choose a relationship with an immediate family member and describe how the definition of said relationship has changed over the course of your life. Describe details of how you have either grown together or apart--and why? For example, you may have been extremely close with a sibling as you were growing up and now you barely communicate. Or perhaps you never really got along with your mother but now you consider her a best friend. Explain your role in the relationship and predict how it may or may not change as you continue to grow further into your adulthood. 2-3 pages
