Project Summary: Few subjects in American life are as controversial as that of crime control. Each step in the criminal justice system is faced with a number of difficult issues about which the public and practitioners are often at odds. In your text, American System of Criminal Justice, you will choose a position to take on a topic of interest to you. You will then write a 1-2 page paper on the position you take. The paper should include two main parts: 1. A clear definition of your position and the reasons you have for holding it. 2. A review of all evidence you have to support your position.
